African American Heritage in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, United States Naval Academy

The Souza Agency Gets Projects Unstuck: The Souza Agency really wanted to create a publication that would speak to anyone who wanted to discover the African-American Heritage in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County Maryland the the United States Naval Academy. Nothing existed that would put it all down on paper in one very excellent way!

The Souza Agency Gets Project Teams Working Together: A fully-integrated strategy for this project was to join up with non-profits in the area to work together and create a gorgeous and expert way to lay everything out for driving tours, walking tours, reading, and exploring. Experiencing the African American Heritage in a way that speaks to generations after generations.  So, we worked hard and joined up with the Four Rivers Heritage Area, the Anne Arundel County Conference & Visitors Bureau, Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation, Commander Jim Jackson, and others.

The Souza Agency Gets Success: By carving new ground and telling this unique and emotional story both in print and online, we were fortunate and blessed to win prestigious State Awards and recognition which has driven a substantial increase in how individuals from all over the United States and around the world have experienced and explored how “This very bay shall yet bear me to Freedom.” —Frederick Douglass
